Sneha Shrestha is contemporary artist in Boston. Originally from Nepal, but an experienced traveler, Sneha draws her artistic inspiration from sources as varied as Boston graffiti, Turkish calligraphy, and her native Nepali script. Her works can be described as thoughtful yet irreverent pieces, marrying the beauty of an elegant script with the droll text she often incorporates into her canvases. When not painting these intricate pieces, Sneha works with inner city teens at Artists for Humanity as a Mentoring Artist in Painting and an Education Coordinator. Sneha also enjoys spray painting outdoors when the weather is cooperative. She often signs her work as ‘Kalpana’, the Nepalese word for ‘imagine’, a perfect moniker for an artist who cannot help but see the world in a different light, tinted by her own imagination.
Recently, Sneha has moved back to her home town of Kathmandu to share her imagination and reintroduce herself to her city.
